Default Excitement! Robots! Bad One-Liners!

Hey all.

Some of you may know that I'm running a new roleplaying campaign (albeit a short one) starting next Friday at Homerton College (it's just down the road.)

However, it can't go anywhere without players.

Currently I have 2 people confirmed as playing, and need at least 2 more.

The ideal number would be 5, but 4 or 6 would work.

Meet at the main gate of the college at 7.30 next Friday (30th January) and I'll meet you there.

The Details

System: Mekton Zeta (yes, I know you've probably not heard of it, but I'll be explaining it all thoroughly and running a tutorial session)

It's a large-scale RPG system about making your own robots/mechs/war machines and fighting it out against a DM-controlled army of robots. It's incredibly flexible, if a little flawed, so I'll need to work through character generation with people.

Setting: The South Seas.

This is a homebrew setting I've come up with which is essentially an Earthlike planet in the far future where every day is like a classic Arnie/Stallone movie. The Collective, a big super-government, lost the South Seas War, but at the same time the Initiative, the force they were fighting, couldn't fully subdue the region. The end result is mercenaries everywhere and brushfire wars between autonomous states run by military juntas.

You will be mercenaries fighting such wars. With mechs.

Tech Level: Speculative Military (with robots)

There aren't too many lasers or anything in this setting, and definitely no lightsabers. Mechs are armed with cannons, missiles and sometimes plasma/laser weapons. Mech melee is essentially using drills, claws and spikes to rip things apart.

Think Command and Conquer or Battletech or something, with slightly fewer flights of fancy.

Campaign Length: Short.

I'm only a student, and so the campaign will have to end when term does. The last session will most likely be on the 12th March

When and Where: FRIDAYS, 7.30 until we've had enough (probably about 10-11 or so, maybe later), the COMMON ROOM OF HOMERTON COLLEGE (provided it's available, if not I will most likely cry.)

Meet me at the main gate.
